We flick the switch and then there is light, and we give it not a moments thought. To experience the glow of growth and the visions of the future, a night by candlelight has two focus points, it takes an element of the past and brings it into the present, we can see and physically feel what days gone by were like when switching on the lights meant lighting a flame and not pressing a button. It is a good way of thinking about how time moves on. Spiritually the candlelight is a reflective tool for thinking of those who may have passed over or for those we care about. This connection is about bringing to life the memories, thoughts and caring feelings we have with every flickering moment. Spend an hour or so in the candlelight and feel the glow and reflect mindfully on those who are important in your life or have been in the past.

Thinking about magical wishes and where or who we could be is a great fantasy way of escape from some of the stresses of the world and times when we are under pressure to act or be more responsible. The yellow brick road leading to the wonderful perfect world where dreams come true is enticing without question, but wishing to be in someone elses' shoes is not always the best way to view life no matter how ideal the lifestyle they have appears to be. So when we make a wish which could change our life is it possible to mix the wishful thinking with the facts of what is really possible.
Sometimes it is easy to feel envious of someone who seems to have a better job, more money, nicer clothes but always we only see from the outside and spiritual thinking is about the complete balance in outer and inner processes. Wearing the right clothes that suit you is a far more important factor than copying the latest lime green and pink stripes fashion. Trends and peer pressures exist daily in advertising,newspapers and even in television programs and encourage us to feel we can bring that touch of success or popularity and look good doing it.
It is not necessarily true that magic and real life cannot exist together. Planning changes and moving in between fantasy and reality is all about getting that balance right, and in-between we have to understand our own needs to be able to get up in front of the world and say “hey this is me”. As we grow we always see things in different ways and as we progress in growth there is more to see and learn, but changes don't mean moving away from who you are inside or…
